The magic of stained glass is in the romance between light and color.
Our infatuation with this magical substance of glass has continued for thousands of years, beginning with the Ancient Romans and Egyptians, who produced small objects made from colored glass. Like many, my first introduction to stained glass was gazing through the windows in churches. It wasn’t until I had the opportunity to ‘play’ with glass myself that I discovered the many ways to use it. Stained glass can be used in windows to take advantage of natural light, in lamps using artificial light, and mosaic wall pieces which reflect the ambient light in a room. It is lovely in any form.
